Christmas Whirlwind

This Christmas was quite the whirlwind!

We started with a family Christmas on Monday night with just the 3 of us...
On Tuesday my sister, her husband and 3 kids came down from Oregon to stay with us for the week. That night we did Christmas with the Salo side of the family and all the grandkids...

On Wednesday we did Christmas Eve at my mom's house...

They went a little crazy with the gifts this year!

THEN, on Thursday, we spent Christmas day with Bob's parents, sister, her husband and 2 kids. We did a Gingerbread house challenge, boys vs girls (the girls won of course), and had a suprise visit from Santa!

Our winning Gingerbread house is on the right. I have to give it up to the boys though, for being very creative with their Tower of London attempt!

Here's Paige looking oober cute in her new digs!
Even with so much going on this year, we had an awesome Christmas. We thank God constantly for all the blessings in our lives!

He's Walking!

Jackson is finally walking! On Thanksgiving day he decided he was ready to let go and started strolling around Grammy Cookie's house all by himself! We unfortunately didn't have the camera handy when it happened, but we shot this adorable video as soon as we got home. Go Jackson go...

Halloween Costume Tryouts

Jackson was going to be a Monkey for Halloween, but it turns out the 12 month costume was too small! So he's going to be a Chicken instead.

Tribute to the cutest smile in the world...

Some oober cute pics of Jackson's oober cute smile over the past couple of months!

Some fun videos...

Here's Jackson rockin' out with Dad on the guitar. He's become quite the music lover!

Jackson loves to walk while holding on to the hippo he got from his cousins. Thanks Colby and Paige for sharing!

Jackson's Favorite Hobby

Here is a clip of Jackson doing what he does best... bouncing! He's actually even saying "momma"! (Even though it was actually directed towards his Dad, we'll take what we can get.)

7 Months

Yummy, messy bannanas.

Jack and Dad relaxin' on a Sunday afternoon.
This is a rare shot of Jackson's teeth. He's very selective with who he shows them to!

Jackson is 6 months old!

Jackson turned 6 months on Wednesday, April 16th, which also happened to be his Grandma Cookie's birthday! Unfortunately he had to spend the majority of his afternoon at the doctors office getting his 6 month check up and shots. He officially weighs 20lbs 5oz and is 27 1/4 inches (or 2ft 3in, for the non-mommies). We're also very happy to report that 1 of the 2 teeth that have been trying to come in for the past 2 months finally broke through on Wednesday! (What a busy day for the little guy!). It looks as though the 2nd is soon to follow. I'll post some pictures once I can get him to actually let us look at them! He's very stubborn... I think he gets that from his Dad ;)
Anyway, here are some more recent pictures!

Jackson's 1st Easter! 3/23/08

Jackson's Auntie Laicy, Uncle Jeff and cousins Kaylee and Josiah came down from Oregon for Easter. Jackson was more interested in watching them play then actually joining in!

Our little litter of bunnies... thanks Grammy Cookie for the ears!

Jackson got to try some rice cereal for the 1st time... after getting over the initial weirdness of eating from a spoon, he loved it!!!
